vyS 3 - JOE CHITTENDEN IS WOUNDED Joe Chittenden was In the thick of the famous fight at Chateau-Thierry Chateau-Thierry Chateau-Thierry where the Americans saved the day und started the advance ot allied troops that is still going toward Her line. Joe was shot through the hip and his leg was broken and he is now In the hospital recovering. He will probably be Invalided home as soon as he Is able to travel tor from the nature of his wounds he will be unuble to do any more fighting for some time. His parents, Mr. and Mrs. Chittenden have arrived home and this Is the In forma lion that they have received. - A let ter from Joe, describing the battle will be published in Friday's issue. Joe is probably the first Seminole county boy to be wounded and his friends here and elsewhere In the state are re joicing over the tact that he is on the road to recovery. Sanford Herald. W S 3
