C. attended the party with Ellen's husband, Joe, and their hostess, Vivian Richards. THE SOUTH CAROLINIANS spend their vacation each year here and planned to return home Sunday. The party was a covered-dish supper headed by a committee composed of Elsie Cahill, Peg Vaughan and Betty Dolan. The members as usual went all out preparing succulent dishes of chicken, barbecue, ham, etc.

The ceremony opened with the flag salute, led by Den 4.

All the boys of the four dens stood at attention and gave the scout promise, motto and laws of the pack. George White, cubmaster, presented all the awards also gave out cards to committeemen and den mothers. CUBMASTER WHITE made the following awards to Pat Cavanaugh, bear badge and gold arrow; Stan Given, one gold and one silver arrow; Gerald Fieser, gold arrow; Gary Car wile, silver arrow; James Garrett and Michael Cava naugh each received wolf badge and a gold arrow; David Pinner, Mark White, Ray McLellan, and Steph en Hall all received wolf badges; Tim Dreggors re ceived wolf badge, cold arrow and nine silver arrows; Bill Beach, wolf badge, gol darrow and four silver arrows; George Bailey, wolf badge and gold a James Brooge, bear badge. CATHOLIC MISSION TO MEET DELTONA A meeting of members of the Deltona Catholic Mission will be held at the Community Center Thursday, 8 p.m. for the purpose of setting up a schedule of ushers for 7:45 a.m. Sunday Mass and to make plans for the formation of a Ladies' Sodality.

All interested persons are invited to attend. A picnic is scheduled June 12 at the home of Mr. and Mrs. LeRoy Putnal. a ter Methodist Church suffered an estimated $3,500 in damage when it was smashed into by an auto from a two-car accident. BRIAN LeClair, son of Mr.

and Mrs. Ernest LeClair was one of two boys presented an Eagle award at a Scouting Court of Honor held at Read-Pattillo School, New Smyrna Beach. The LeClairs also heard from their older son, Ernest who has been promoted to Signal Seaman on the USS Brown-stein, now cruising in South China seas. Ernest is 18 and has been recommended for promotion to Petty Officer. If approved he will be the youngest sailor on board to receive that rating.

Larry Byrd, son of Mr. and Mrs. Carroll Byrd was presented a God and Country Award Sunday by the Rev. Harvey Hardin. He is a member of the local scout pack and the award was presented at Edgewa ter i Church, where the scouts attended in mass.

Members of Edgewater Civic Garden Club who plan to attend luncheon and installation at Dutch Pantry in Daytona Beach June 14 are to contact Mrs. Donald Mason for tickets and reservations. EXTENSION Homemak-ers Club will feature a covered dish luncheon for last meeting of the year, June 7 at noon at Hawks Park Club. Members are to bring a place setting and covered dish. Mrs.

Morton Born has sold her home here and purchased the New York Avenue apartments from Mr. and Mrs. Waiter Bennett. New officers of Willing Workers society of Union Community Church were installed by the Rev. Urban Ogden.

Mrs. Harry Rosengarten has returned to her home after a couple months visit with relatives. She visited with sisters in Miami and San Diego, and with her son in Biloxi, Miss. Engagement Announced SAMSULA Mr. and Mrs.

Rudolph Hafner of Samsula and Palatka announce the approaching marriage of their daughter, Kathleen, to Larry Lee Carmichael, son of Mr. and Mrs. John Carmichael, Blue Mountain, Miss. The wedding will be June 11 at 4 p.m. at First Methodist Church, New Smyrna Seach.
