By Jessica Inman Staff Writer After decades in the U.S. Army, and a subsequent career in the defense industry, this was where you could find Frederick Ei-sele: He would be shooting hoops in the driveway of his Chuluota home with his grandldds, the door to the garage ajar, revealing a space converted into a train room Tiers and tiers of platforms, circles of track and locomotives CUTLER, A. FRANK, Andrew "Frank" Cutler passed away Tuesday afternoon, July 14, 2015. He was the beloved father of T.

Lee (Marlee) Cutler, Elaine Weinstein, Robin Washburn; husband of the late Marcia Cutler; grandfather to Miles Cutler, Stacey Weinstein, Cara (Washburn) Quien, Derek Wasburn and Kyle Washburn; great grandfather to Kyla, Lena and Nora Quien. The family had a private family only service at his son Lee and Marlee's home in Winter Park on Friday July 17th, 2015. Orlando Sentinel Though he never saw combat, he traveled to Germany, Iran and Vietnam. education from Pennsylvania State University in 1961, was an athletic man who stood tall at 6-feet-4 and who had gone to college on a basketball scholarship.

He encouraged his grandldds to stay active, enrolling them in his very own "Poppy Boot Camp" one summer. He did not like to see them sitting idle over a tablet When his son Frank was a boy, he threw knuckle balls to him to catch. He was strict then, taming on marching music or pouring icy water on Frank to wake him up in the morning. Eisele's own parents were from Germany, and he grew up with an acute appreciation for living in the U.S. To give back, he joined the U.S.

Army after college. Though he never saw combat, he traveled to Germany, Iran and Vietnam, where he set up communication systems for the military. Sherry Eisele said that an entire year passed when Frank could not speak to his father. The family would also move extensively within the U.S. from base to base.

Eisele's years of service tallied toward an extensive array of accolades. He went on to work in the defense industry, eventually doing consulting work before he retired in 201L He read and contributed to an assortment of military journals. His military service influenced his devotion to service, Sherry Eisele said, and he became incredibly involved with support groups for the military, with his church. "You barely even say you needed help with something, and he would show up," said Sherry Eisele. Wherever he was, Eisele devoted himself entirely, believing time mattered in quality, not quantity.

Sherry Eisele says that she will remember her father-in-law this way: He was a man with a heart to serve. In addition to son Frank Eisele of Geneva, Frederick William Eisele is survived by his wife, Catherine "Kitty" Eisele; a daughter, Cyndi Burns of Chuluota; a sister, Edith Hiller of Lancaster, Pa; and nine grandchildren Baldwin-Fairchild Funeral Home, Oviedo Chapel, is handling arrangements. jinmanorlandosentinel.com or 407-420-5002 For more information, Call 407-420-6006 KIRCHGESSNER, ROBERT husband to Janette L. He was 47 years old and is survived by his wife Angela Stromberg, parents Russ and Tricia Stromberg and brother Rusty Stromberg. Matt was a graduate of the Naval Academy in Annapolis, MD where he went on to became a naval aviator. In 1996 upon returning from his deployment to South Korea he was diagnosed with brain cancer. After surviving major surgery and cancer treatment, Matt was medically retired and successfully transitioned into a civilian career with the Boeing Company in Seattle, where he worked on the F22 program. He left Boeing in 2003 to move to Orlando and form his own company, Viper Technology Services, which provides software support to the defense industry.

Through the journey of his medical recovery Matt found faith in Christ and a much more significant reason to live. He was passionate about how his faith in Christ would navigate him through all of his days. Matt became a living testimony to the vitality of the human spirit, masterful at the art of living one day at a time, he was never burdened by what the future would bring. Life for Matt was about the relationship and not the task. With creative questioning that would stretch your mind and take you off guard, he took great joy in engaging conversation, wherever you were, whatever the subject.

He was an enviable husband that took great pride in mastering the element of surprise in the bountiful ways he showed love for his wife. He was a trusted friend who's spontaneous acts of humor closed the miles between them, and he was a selfless employer who considered the opinion and experience of those on his team to be more valuable than his own. During this 18 month battle with his second round of brain cancer he grew to know God more deeply than ever before. He was truly selfless and cared more about what he could do for others than his own difficulties in life. We will be honoring his well lived life on Saturday August 1st at 10.00am at The First Methodist Church, 125 Interlachen Dr, Winter Park, FL 32789.

Matt will be laid to rest at Arlington. The family has established a scholarship fund to honor Matt at the Marine Corps Scholarship Foundation, which provides funds to educate the children of Marines and Navy Corpsmen.
